Fun game. Lots of free loot to be had from playing. Plenty of events to enlarge your hero collection and upgrade their skills and armour. Refreshing to play a game of this nature that allows character advancement without having to pay for everything. Well done! Nostalgia for Soul Calibur I’ve been playing pvp video games all the way back to the Sega Dreamcast and Soul Calibur 2. This is a real throwback to the single player mode of Soul Cal 2, with the tournament style and the npcs and playable characters coming from the same list. It’s still an app game, so there are limitations compared to a computer or console game. As expected, you don’t operate your own character in the fight, but you have a lot of variability that lets you enjoy more strategy and control than I’ve encountered in apps like this. You have five types of heroes (Mage, Priest, Ranger, Warrior, Assassin) from six races (Scourge, Human, Demon, Darknight, Shadow, Light). The character design from race to race is very distinctive, and even from within a race the characters appear unique from one another. Overall, a pretty satisfying game as far as apps go for free-to play (like me) or pay-to-play, wherever your inclination leans.
